From Idea to Shelf
One team, the whole journey
For a first-time inventor, the biggest risk is not the idea – it’s the dozens of expensive mistakes that can happen between concept and market. Having a single experienced team manage every stage meant the client never had to stitch together separate designers, engineers and manufacturers, or hope they’d all talk to each other.
The result was a smoother, faster and far less stressful path to launch. The client kept full ownership of their idea, understood every decision along the way, and arrived at production with a design that was ready to make – and ready to sell.

Some of the best products start as nothing more than a great idea. That was the case for an Australian inventor who approached ADC with a promising consumer product concept, plenty of enthusiasm, and no engineering or manufacturing experience to make it real. The challenge wasn’t just designing the product – it was navigating the entire journey from sketch to saleable item without wasting money on wrong turns.
ADC began with concept development, working closely with the client to refine the idea into something genuinely manufacturable. From there we produced detailed CAD models, created physical prototypes to test form and function, and adjusted the design based on what we learned. Along the way, our team advised on patent protection to safeguard the idea and prepared the documentation needed to move confidently toward production.
With the design proven, ADC sourced a suitable manufacturer from our network of trusted local and overseas partners, prepared the production drawings and supporting documentation, and helped the client prepare for launch. What started on a kitchen table became a market-ready product, engineered properly and protected for the future.
